We recently returned from our two week stay in the Walnut Gite at Les Gages.

Julie and Mike are probably the best Gite hosts we have ever had and we have travelled in France a lot!

Nothing was too much trouble, from the welcome package in the kitchen, creating a beautifully decorated and comfy place to stay, to booking restaurants and recommending places to go, all of this helped us have a wonderful holiday. Offering clean bedding and towels mid way through the two weeks was also above and beyond.

The setting is rural, with a short 8 min drive to the local supermarket and 20 mins roughly to some larger towns, but it was the perfect place to unwind. The games room, gardens and the pool were excellent additions to the setting allowing for down days if we didn’t want to go out.

The gite was so well supplied with basics in the kitchen and bathroom that you rarely get elsewhere.

We already miss our daily conversations with our hosts and seeing Teddy scampering about.

Thank you Julie and Mike we loved our holiday and that was down to feeling like we were ‘home from home’.

We will be back.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The gites are wonderfully decorated, the grounds immaculate, the pool crystal clear, the games room was a great bonus for the teens and beautiful surroundings. Julie made our holiday even more special with restaurant and days out recommendations, where to shop and even helping with the vets for the obligatory worm tablet for the return paperwork for our dog.

We can’t wait to stay again and hopefully bring more friends and family.

We recently stayed as a large family group. On arrival we received a warm welcome and tour of facilities. The gites themselves were super clean, well equipped, cosy and homely. Every detail was thought of, the play equipment, trampoline and games room and BBQ were great. Julie was so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the perfect host! We booked a family stay at Chesnuts and found the gite the best place we have stayed by far in the area. Well equipped and clean and cosy. Games room was put to good use and had fun on rainy days. Swapped tomatoes for mussels and good chats. Absolutely great and warm, welcoming hosts, thanks to Julie and Mike, so friendly and we will be back very soon. Emma and family

Our family have had the absolute best stay with Julie in her three gites as part of a special family holiday. The accommodation is beautifully done, nothing is too much trouble to make the stay extra special. Julie even loaned our children flower decorations to make our 25th anniversary day celebrations look fantastic. The grounds are beautiful, the dip pool a real bonus in the 30+ degree heat which is really well maintained. We just loved every second: karaoke; bbqs; chilling in the sun; chatting away to Julie; getting restaurant tips; pool time; games room; trampolining; footy; badminton; taboo and especially testing out the ride on lawn mower! We loved the welcome pack too. The area is gorgeous and would really suit anyone cycling and wanting to tour the area. A truly magical place. We will keep in touch x
